It might happen sometimes when we try to browse something but it takes an awfully long time to load despite having good internet access.
If you can relate to this you might be having issues related to your phone’s DNS cache. DNS is a system that makes internet browsing user-friendly.
To speed things up, our phone’s browser keeps records of the websites that you’ve been looking up and their corresponding IP addresses in a local DNS cache.
So whenever you search for it again it retrieves the data from the cache instead of contacting the DNS server.
But with time this cache becomes cluttered with outdated and incorrect entries. This makes the chrome slower and one may see errors when accessing websites.
What is DNS Cache?
DNS means Domain Name System. It is an inbuilt system that translates website names (like [invalid URL removed]) into numerical IP addresses. These numbers can be easily understood by the computers.
What happens is, that our mobile saves our recently looked-up IP addresses in a DNS cache so that they can be easily accessible for the next time the user tries to browse them. This gives the satisfaction of fast browsing to the user.
